Got internet? Why fiber + peering will make it better

i want my viNGN button graphicSoon, Internet Service Providers (ISPs) will be able to partner with The Virgin Islands Next Generation Network (viNGN) to give their customers the ability to tap into a world-class, open access, high speed all fiber network.

The viNGN is not an ISP, a company which delivers internet service to you.  However, ISPs can and should partner with the viNGN to provide faster, more reliable and cost-effective internet service via fiber optic communications, plus “peering”, which keeps local internet traffic local.

Peering means less congestion for both local and outbound data, so everything moves more quickly for everyone.  Visit our web site for more details, then contact your ISP to say, “i want my viNGN!”

About vingn

The Virgin Islands Next Generation Network (viNGN) was established in 2010 as a public corporation; it is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Virgin Islands Public Finance Authority. viNGN was funded primarily from an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grant made by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) as part of a federal program to improve the broadband capacity in the United States, its territories, and the District of Columbia. The program is called the Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP). For more information regarding viNGN, call (340) 715-8581, or visit www.vingn.com.
