USVI GERS hosts financial literacy workshop for retirees

GERS-logo(St. Thomas, USVI) The U.S. Virgin Islands Government Employees’ Retirement System invites its members to participate in a Financial Literacy Workshop Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the St. Thomas GERS Complex, 2nd Floor Training Room, from 8:30 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.

The objective of this workshop is to empower participants to take a more active role in developing a financial life-plan for themselves by means of education. Participants will engage in a hands-on session where they will have an opportunity to:

  • assess where they are today
  • explore investment options
  • look at the impact of life events on their finances; and
  • develop an action plan.

Be sure to include your first and last name, department/agency or retiree and a contact number. Registration deadline is Friday, June 13.  A previous workshop was held on St. Croix on Wednesday, May 21, 2014.
