VI Daily News: VINGN completes construction of broadband network on deadline


vi daily news thumbnailVirgin Islands Next Generation Network, Inc. (viNGN) President and CEO Lawrence Kupfer announced that the first all fiber-optic, open-access broadband network to serve the U.S. Virgin Islands has met its construction goal of June 30, 2014.

viNGN is now inside the 90-day closeout period during which testing and assignations are made, quite standard for a project of this scope: “We’re still doing final commissioning and testing, but that is allowable work during the close out period,” he said.
