(VI SOURCE) The Virgin Islands Next Generation Network, Inc. (viNGN) announced at a recent board meeting that it plans to bring more free Public Computer Centers (PCCs) online and encouraging continued free online learning opportunities via Khan Academy.
Thousands of U.S. Virgin Islands residents took advantage of the free Cyberlearning Digital Literacy training, with some still working to obtain their Digital Literacy certificates by January 30, 2015. For those who did not sign up by the deadline, viNGN is recommending the free Khan Academy online curriculum, which includes Math, Science, Economics & Finance, Arts & Humanities, Computing, Test Prep, and College Admissions.
A number of other items were on the agenda, including training incentives for PCC site managers and the continued integration of Community Anchor Institutions (CAIs).
