The Daily News Best of the V.I. Voters Guide booklet for 2015 is out in circulation, and viNGN has once again been nominated in several categories! viNGN is a past winner of the Best of the VI.
Throughout the past year, viNGN has spearheaded the Cyberlearning Digital Literacy training program for basic computer skills and knowledge plus advanced academic, technical and professional courses. At the end of 2014, 240 USVI residents who had earned their Digital Literacy certificates received free laptop computers to enable them to continue along their digital literacy path.
33 Public Computer Centers have been opened throughout the territory, enabling citizens of all ages to have free access to the internet and top-of-the-line computers for work, research, communication and training. At these centers, participants were treated to financial and digital literacy seminars, online resources to build their skills and the opportunity to participate in worldwide initiatives such as the Hour of Code.
