The Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) presents its annual Teen Tech Week (March 8-14, 2015) with the theme is “Libraries are for Making…” and viNGN would like to remind everyone about the open opportunity to improve the digital literacy and professional prospects of our teens through the free Khan Academy curriculum.
All U.S. Virgin Islands Public Libraries now host viNGN Public Computer Centers, and youngsters are invited to obtain their library cards to access the online catalog, check out books and DVDs, do research for school projects, and utilize the PCCs to complete assignments, communicate, and sign up for free online courses such as Khan Academy.
Courses available include:
- Math
- Science
- Economics and Finance
- Arts and Humanities
- Computing
- Test Prep (including SAT)
- College Admissions
Sign up with just an email address and learn at your own pace at Khan Academy (it’s great for adults, too)! Sign up today at khanacademy.org. Download flyer and share: Khan-Academy-flyer (PDF)
