viNGN encourages use of library Public Computer Centers during National Library Week #NLW2015

The American Library Association (ALA) has kicked off National Library Week (April 12-18, 2015) with the theme “Unlimited possibilities @ your library®” and the Virgin Islands Next Generation Network (viNGN) wants to encourage use of free computer and internet access at USVI public libraries.

Our libraries are considered Community Anchor Institutions (CAIs) and feature Public Computer Centers (PCCs). National Library Week is being celebrated in the territory at our local libraries to include a kickoff event at the new Charles W. Turnbull Regional Library a Friends Appreciation Event for new and prospective members of the Friends of St. Thomas Public Libraries (FOSTPL) on Monday, April 15 at 5:30pm.

There are dozens of free Public Computer Centers throughout the USVI. View the slide show below for help in locating a center near you:
