Virgin Islands SBDC celebrates 30 years during Small Business Week 2015

Celebrating 30 years of service to the U.S. Virgin Islands Community, the Virgin Islands Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is providing a week’s worth of free seminars to the community through Monday, June 8 in celebration of  Small Business Week (May 31-June 6, 2015). Activities include showcases and awards ceremonies on Thursday, June 4 on St. Thomas at the UVI Sports & Fitness Center, and on Friday, June 5 at the UVI Great Hall on St. Croix.

The Virgin Islands Next Generation Network is pleased to be a supporting partner of this milestone anniversary for the SBDC. Business owners, managers and employees in any industry can benefit from the wealth of instruction offered, all free, during this Small Business Week.

The Virgin Islands Next Generation Network (viNGN) was established in 2010 as a public corporation; it is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Virgin Islands Public Finance Authority. viNGN was funded primarily from an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grant made by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) as part of a federal program to improve the broadband capacity in the United States, its territories, and the District of Columbia.
