Miller discusses thoughtfulness and its importance in a manner that resonates with us today, even though his piece was written well over 100 years ago, in 1896. Mr. Miller says, “Thoughtfulness is one of the truest and best tests of a noble character. Thoughtlessness is rudeness, boorishness. It is selfishness, cold-heartedness. It is unrefined.
