In “The Grace of Thoughtfulness,” popular 19th century author J.R. Miller discusses thoughtfulness and its importance in a manner that resonates with us today, even though his piece was written well over 100 years ago, in 1896. Mr. Miller says, “Thoughtfulness is one of the truest and best tests of a noble character. Thoughtlessness is rudeness, boorishness. It is selfishness, cold-heartedness. It is unrefined. It is cruel and unkind. Thoughtfulness is refined. It is love working in all delicate ways. It is unselfishness which forgets itself, and thinks only of others. read more
