St. Croix Avis: St. Joseph Showcases New IT Academy

stjosephscatholichighschoolstcroix-logoOn Friday we were pleased to be on hand as the St. Joseph Catholic High School formally revealed its IT Academy, a collaborative effort between Innovative, VI Waste Management Authority, viNGN, and Broadband VI. Geared towards generating the “next generation of Network Defenders” and IT specialists, the St. Joseph IT Academy will provide participating students with recognized IT certifications and the option to pursue higher education in the field.

We’re also partnering with the University of the Virgin Islands and the Department of Education to create a territory-wide STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics) Academy available to all students within the USVI Public School system – providing IT certifications and entrée to higher education. Through initiatives like the St. Joseph IT Academy on St. Croix and the USVI STEAM Academy, our children will be able to access the tools they need to take the lead in the Technological Revolution!
