viNGN presents on Child Internet Safety at Parents Conference

That is the overall message of a presentation on Internet safety for children presented by viNGN at the 5th Annual Parent Conference hosted by the USVI Department of Education Office of the Insular Superintendent at Marriott Frenchman’s Reef on St. Thomas Sept. 6.

Entitled “The Dark Unknown: Internet Dangers” is geared towards parents who need help knowing what to look out for and how to safeguard their children’s well-being, identity, and emotional health while using the Internet and social media utilizing videos and information from the STOP.THINK.CONNECT. campaign.

Key issues are:

  • Over-sharing
  • Failure to protect information
  • Inappropriate attention
  • Internet bullies
