We can’t give what we don’t have. So, in order for us to be more thoughtful toward others, we must first and foremost be thoughtfully aware of ourselves. This is a fundamental, foundational principle of self-awareness, which in turn, when done in a healthy manner, becomes a start in the right direction toward developing meaningful empathy and compassion towards others.
As lifelong learners, our growth should never cease – least of all our growth in knowledge about ourselves. Without fully knowing ourselves, self-acceptance and change are all the more difficult. read more
