Press Release: Dept. of Labor partners with viNGN and WTJX to launch GED prep initiative

U.S. Virgin Islands — Labor Commissioner Catherine Hendry, Esq., is pleased to announce the launch of the “VI Workforce System GED PrepConnect” initiative. The Department of Labor, VINGN and WTJX have partnered to make this opportunity available to persons interested in pursuing and earning a GED credential.

The Department of Labor will issue ‘FREE’ practice licenses to the first twenty-five (25) individuals who sign-up for this opportunity. Practice at home, or at the DOL America’s Job Centers (AJC’s), or at any of the designated VINGN Public Computer Centers (PCC’s) to pursue and earn a GED credential.

Interested persons must meet certain eligibility requirements. For additional information about the “VI Workforce System GED PrepConnect” initiative, please contact the VI Department of Labor office in St. Croix located at 4KA Sion Farm, Suite 1, Christiansted (340-773-1994 ext. 2209) or in St. Thomas at 53Ab, 54AB Kronprindsens Gade (340-776-3700 ext. 2099).
