Mathematics Behind The Science Summer Bridge Program


 

The University of the Virgin Islands proudly announces “The Muvi logoathematics Behind the Science Summer Bridge Program” (MBS).  The summer program is a free six week, residential program that is open to high school seniors and current UVI freshmen that have completed MAT 024.  Students who plan to pursue college majors in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Marine Biology, or Physics are encouraged to apply.

The program will begin on June 22nd to July 29th, 2016 on UVI’s St. Thomas Campus. St. Croix students selected to participate in the MBS program will receive roundtrip airfare and transportation assistance.

Components of the program include:

  • Free Housing and Meals
  • Free tuition, books, and supplies
  • Mathematics Workshop
  • Intro to Computer Programming
  • Scientific Reading and Writing
  • College Prep
  • Study Hall
  • Field Trips
