Caro Area library Director Erin Schmandt’s photo has gone viral with its message to complete the sentence “Libraries Transform because…”

(ILoveLibraries.org) – Going viral on the WWW is a sign placed by a small Michigan library (serving only 12,000 citizens) that completes the Libraries Transform campaign slogan “Libraries Transform because…” It reads, “Because not everything on the Internet is true.” Caro Area District Library Director Erin Schmandt, who even saw Star Trek star George Takei share the original Facebook post, says, “I have had patrons mention how they never thought of libraries that way, but now that they have, they can see how important libraries are, not just for the things we are traditionally thought of for, but for helping people.” (read more)
