2016 VI Governor’s Summer Reading Challenge incorporates e-Books

( – The 8th Annual VI Governor’s Summer Reading Challenge, a partnership of the Office of the Governor, and the Department of Education, is designed to motivate students K-6 to read at least 5 books from June 8-September 23, 2016. It’s open to all USVI public, private and parochial school students enrolled in Kindergarten through 6th grade.
Students must track their reading and complete a minimum of 5 books in order to earn an invite to one of the “Fun Days” being planned for the St. Croix and St. Thomas/St. John districts. Exceptional achievement will also be recognized during these events! Students may visit any of our public libraries to get books to read, or access e-Books at
