For the 4th year in a row, viNGN is participating in the worldwide event, the “Hour of Code” and invites the community to access the free activity online during Computer Science Education Week (December 5-11, 2016). This year’s live event, based on the Disney character “Moana”, will be held on St. Croix, at the Central Seventh-Day Adventist Public Computer Center (PCC) on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 5-6:30pm.
Join Moana and become a “Way Finder” in this year’s Hour of Code – an exciting intro to programming principles using blocks of code in a game-like atmosphere that is instructive to students of all ages, from the second grade through adult. No programming experience is required! And, the fun course is accessible from any Internet-connected computer or device (or at your nearest available PCC).
Hour of Code is an international Code.org event, in celebration of Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek). CSEdWeek is held in recognition of the birthday of computing pioneer Admiral Grace Murray Hopper (December 9, 1906).
Space is limited – register at vingn.wordpress.com/pccte or contact Anita Davis at viNGN via email (adavis@vingn.com) or telephone 340-715-8581 x2244.
The Central Seventh-Day Adventist PCC is located in Frederiksted at #17-A Plessen.
