University of the Virgin Islands Accepting Academic and Cultural Endowment Scholarship Applications

The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) recently announced the deadline of Friday, April 28, 2017 for accepting applications for the Virgin Islands Academic & Cultural Awards Endowment (VIACAE) Scholarships for Graduate Studies or Research and Cultural Projects.

The program is open to U.S. Virgin Islands residents pursuing graduate studies or cultural projects, with special encouragement to those seeking graduate degrees to teach in the Virgin Islands at the Secondary level, particularly in areas of Mathematics and Science.

Founded by the V.I. Legislature in 1970, the VIACAE program was created to provide financial support to eligible VI residents with a desire to advance their academic and professional studies or engage in meaningful cultural projects.
