viNGN Participates in Round-table Discussion on Facebook Impact on Relationships at UVI Research Day 2017


The University of the Virgin Islands hosted its 6th annual UVI Research Day on St. Croix and St. Thomas on Friday, April 7, 2017. viNGN participated on the St. Thomas campus as part of a round-table discussion “Is Facebook Changing Your Relationship?”

A wide variety of research topics occupied the entire floor of the UVI Sports and Fitness Center, from the fields of marine biology, psychology, politics, the environment, education and civics. A hot round-table discussion on the “Sin Tax” wrapped up the day’s events with a Facebook Live video by panel moderator  and UVI Professor/Activist/New Media Master DaraMonifah Cooper.
