“Code Like a Girl” comes to St. Thomas August 7-12, 2017

(Official release)

Come learn to code through this project-based, week-long camp! Learn about coding and cyber-security, and hear from industry professionals / university professors! Code Like a Girl will be hosted at All Saints School Monday through Friday, August 7-11, 2017 from 8:00am-12:00pm, with a banquet on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 6:30pm-9:30pm.

Students in third to tenth grades are eligible; there is a $25 refundable deposit, which is returned upon completion of the program. The morning session will be coding-intensive, and students will work in groups to create a final project that will be presented at the gala. However, there will be break times, speaker sessions, and energizers throughout the camp!

On Saturday, the girls will present their project to local industry professionals, families, and the general public in order to promote women involvement in technology throughout the community.
