  1. I am a Vice President with Mid-State Consultants. We are an employee owned professional consulting engineering firm specializing in telecommunications. Mid-State maintains a workforce of approximately 250 people with 8 offices across the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii. We were responsible for engineering numerous ARRA funded FTTH projects. One of those FTTH projects was for the American Samoa Islands, so we have experience working in an island environment. We also have experience with hurricane restoration efforts, having been instrumental with Vitelco’s recovery from Hurricanes Hugo and Marilyn. I personally lived on St. Thomas for 5 years and managed our firm’s engineering operations. I was also responsible for bringing in teams of engineers to St. Thomas and St. John immediately after Hurricane Marilyn and setting up living accommodations under the same conditions you are now faced with.

Please check out our website and contact me at the provided email if you feel Mid-State could assist viNGN with the restoration of your network.
