We appreciate the St. John Source featuring viNGN’s Pop-Up Digital Coaching session on Feb. 28, 2019 – Digital Learning Day! At the Elaine Ione Sprauve Public Library Public Computer Center on St. John we shared the many ways to utilize Google’s Applied Digital Skills programming to assist users with document collaboration, organizing files in Google Drive, updating a resume in Google Docs, and distributing an attached document using Gmail.
And, because our community’s needs are as diverse as its population, we also stepped outside of Google’s GSuite to assist with web site maintenance in the popular WordPress platform!
A special note of appreciation goes to VI Department of Labor’s Director of Workforce Development Arah C. Lockhart for introducing us to the Google Applied Digital Skills as part of the agency’s hosting Google Team members who introduced Dept. of Labor clients to the resume building exercises at the St. Thomas PCC location (October, 2018).
Google Applied Digital Skills offers not only learning but teaching opportunities, including full lesson plans and rubrics for structured community teaching.
