Learners of all ages invited to interactive makerspace hosted by viNGN
viNGN invites the community to “STEAM Forward for SUCCESS” at the 49th annual AgriFest 2020 February 15-17 at Estate Lower Love, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. Visitors to the viNGN booth will enjoy coding fun, participate in learning challenges, and discover the world of fiber optics and STEAM careers.
S.T.E.A.M. is an integrated approach to expose learners to the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. STEAM Forward for SUCCESS is a program being developed by viNGN to pair USVI public school educators with the tools they need to introduce STEAM concepts to students.
STEAM Forward for Success hopes to provide educators with tools to create makerspaces in public schools. Makerspaces give students hands-on, creative ways to design, collaborate, learn and invent. Makerspaces also help children develop interpersonal, organization and presentation skills as they engineer projects that could help solve the problems of today and tomorrow.
Public school educators who are interested in being considered for the first STEAM Forward for SUCCESS cohort may visit www.vingn.com/community to download the introductory package. For more information, contact Anita Davis at (340) 715-8581 x 2244 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
