The Virgin Islands Regional Library for the Visually and Physically Handicapped proudly proclaims its status as a Virgin Islands Next Generation Network, Inc. (viNGN) Community Anchor Institution (CAI) in its winter newsletter. As part of the Public Computer Center (PCC) component of the territorial implementation of the nationwide Broadband Initiative, the library is able to allow complimentary computer and internet use to its patrons in the interest of communication, education, career building, and research. Representatives of organizations and businesses known as a *Community Anchor Institutions (CAI) are reminded of a critical viNGN Broadband Business & Technology Meeting, set for Monday, October 7, 2013 @ 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the University of the Virgin Islands Great Hall on the St. Croix campus and at the Administration & Conference Center, 1st Floor Conference Room on the St. Thomas campus (linked via video conference).

*Community Anchor Institutions are classified by the Federal Government as being schools, libraries, medical & health care providers, colleges, community support organizations, and government agencies.
